Head Brewer 

We are looking for a full time experienced brewer with a passion for producing thoughtful mixed-culture beer. The right candidate will happily embrace a process that includes problem solving and opportunities for continual improvement, be familiar with a range of brewing techniques and a have desire to learn.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Wort production on 15 BBL Steam Brewhouse 
  • Cellar management: Stainless steel and oak vessels, comprised of barrels, puncheons and foeders 
  • Packaging operations – including naturally carbonated kegs, cans, and bottles 
  • Plan and order necessary raw materials, chemicals, and other consumable goods 
  • Manage the production schedule with input from ownership, production team, and sales team 
  • Manage and guide production staff – oversee tasks to completion and ensure appropriate training and execution on all assigned responsibilities 
  • QA/QC from grain to glass 
  • Maintain accurate, detailed production records in all relevant tools including: Excel spreadsheets, Ekos, and Beersmith 
  • Participation in professional organizations, conferences  and training opportunities 
  • Occasional travel for collabs and events 


Working conditions require: 

  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of conditions and with continuous, moderate noise levels  
  • Routine pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, reaching, bending, etc 
  • Occasionally work in excess of 8 hours per day 
  • Be able to lift 55 lb bags and move 130lb 50L kegs 
  • Able to safely handle potentially dangerous chemicals 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently 
  • Aptitude to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment 
  • Proof of full COVD-19 vaccination 



  • 3-5 years professional brewing experience, with experience in the role of Assistant/Lead brewer or comparable work experience preferred 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to positively engage with others. 
  • A desire to learn and grow as a professional in our industry 
  • Experience with resource planning and/or project/production scheduling preferred 
  • Possess a deep understanding of beer production in a professional brewing environment including proper material handling, yeast management and fermentation knowledge 
  • Possess a deep understanding of natural carbonation and package conditioning 
  • Lab experience preferred  
  • Possess a deep understanding of short draw draft maintenance and proper beer dispense 
  • Possess a comfortability with barrel work, including filling, emptying cleaning, and routine maintenance 
  • Mechanically inclined preferred (eg minor coopering, CO2 line installation, keg washer troubleshooting etc) 
  • Work safely and develop Operating Procedures/Manuals for the handling of Fork Lift operations, hot liquids, vessels under pressure, chemicals etc. 
  • Possess the ability to quickly assess situations and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.  
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and adherence to process
