Chef Sessions pt 8: Cafe Lolo

Cafe Lolo is a pasta stand at farmers markets, run by husband and wife team Leah Engel and Alex Halmi, that makes pasta with house milled grain from Bluebird farms and pairs it with seasonal and local produce with a menu that changes every week. Our menu at Fair Isle will be focused on local grains and produce.

 

Menu Highlights

Ampanelle pasta with braised beef, spiced zucchini puree, sweet corn, roasted sungolds, and pickled jalapeño

Summer squash salad with hazelnut romanesco, roasted walla walla onion, yellow peach relish, and mint

Einkorn blondie with Santa Rosa plums, corn anglaise, and burnt caramel
